Studying the Role of Social Capital Components in Organizational Entrepreneurship in the Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization (Case Study: Zahedan County)

Abstract

Organizational entrepreneurship as one of the main forms of entrepreneurship has a key role in success of organizations. On the other hand, most of the research has not been considered seriously the role of social capital as the most important factor, among the various factors influencing organizational entrepreneurship development. Therefore, the main purpose of this descriptive- correlative research was to study of the role of social capital components in organizational entrepreneurship in the Jihad-e-Agriculture organization. The statistical population of the research consisted of all experts in the Jihad-e-Agriculture organization of Zahedan County (N= 180). According to the Bartlett, Kotrlik & Higgins table, a sample size of 150 was selected using a simple random sampling technique. The standard questionnaires were used to collect data. The content validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by a panel of experts. The construct validity and the composite reliability of the research instrument were tested by estimating the measurement model and they were satisfied after making necessary corrections. The results showed that the main hypotheses of the research have accepted and three components of social capital including cognitive, communicative and structural had a positive and significant impact on dependent variable. The components totally explained about 43 percent of variances of organizational entrepreneurship in the Jihad-e-Agriculture organization of Zahedan County. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that increasing social capital in the organization directly results in reinforcing and developing organizational entrepreneurship in the Jihad-e-Agriculture organization.
