Investigation and analysis of formal and informal organizational interrelationship networks through Network Analysis Approach (Case study: Kohgiloye va Boyerahmad Province)

Abstract

In managing organizations as complex social systems that their core includes of human interactions or their complicated patterns of behavior, the precise definition of problem is very important; because interactions between organizations cause to emerging complex relationship networks which in it formal patterns are always affected by informal relationship networks. This paper analyses the formal and informal interrelationship networks among organizations related to environment in Kohgiloye va Boyerahmad Province which is countered with inefficiency managerial problem and compares power centers in these networks through Network Analysis that is a new approach in solving multi-dimensional and complicated problems. Results showed that power centers in these two networks differ from each other and this difference has affected in managerial decisions in the province and also efficiency of Network Analysis Approach in solving managerial problems has been confirmed. Finally some suggestions represented in order to improve the functions of these networks and also successful environmental management of the province.
