Investigating Social capital and effect of that on the organization improvement (Case study: Staff Organizations of Tehran municipality

Abstract

This study deals with the social capital effects on organization?s performance improvement in municipality. Evaluating the social capital amount and the level of people?s performance improvement in the concerned society and investigating the relation between social capital and organization?s performance improvement and describing their variables of theoretical basis, are the goals of this research. In line with discovering studies some performed works in the field of social capital and organization performance are mentioned, and their sociology procedures were deal with. The fundamental assumption of this study is that there is a relationship between social capital and organization?s performance improvement variables. The present study, based on its aim is considered as fundamental research and regarding to data collection method is descriptive (none experimental). The results obtained from this study show that people?s trust has a direct relationship with organizations performance improvement, and also formal nets have a indirect relationship with organization?s performance improvement. And action norms have no direct or indirect relationship with organization?s performance improvement. Social capital rate and peoples performance improvement in organization is average and there is a direct relationship between social capital and people?s performance improvement in organization.
