With considering of acceleration of changes, competitive environment and uncertainty in today world make knowledge as the most strategic resource for maintain and reinforcement of competitive advantage and effective management of knowledge is the most serious challenge of organizations. Knowledge management is important to achieve competitive advantage. Knowledge management transforms latent property in mind of individuals to organizational property so that decision makers use this wealth.
This paper seeks for the gap between current and ideal State of Knowledge Management in Automobile Industry of Iran. Therefore, the amount of attention to these factors in current and ideal state of Automobile Industry of Iran has been studied after the exploring factors of knowledge management by literature review.
For testing hypotheses it has been used stratified sampling and selected 120 samples of different classes of employees and managers of Automobile Industry. The results, coming from the analysis of information, indicate that there has been attention to creating, maintaining, disseminating and applying knowledge management in Automobile Industry. The most gap between current and ideal state is relating to factor of create knowledge & apply knowledge. Finally, present implications for managers in Automobile Industry
